Scarboro Aquarium Club, Poisoned
Sep. 15th, 2004 04:27 amThis is a really nice little album. Decent grooves, good vocals, good lyrics, some really good songs, and nothing actually bad. The worst it gets is "Mm, this one's just okay." The high points are really high, too. "Drinking The Poison," especially, also "Coming Back Empty" and "Someone Else," which has some really nice vocal harmonies. This is the second or third listen, and the first really close listen. I suspect there will be more. This one's going on car rotation, and will probably be playing via iPod for a couple of weeks. Yes indeed.

Maybe add in a little space music and a little of the sort of tech noir thing Front Line Assembly used to do back in the 80's before they totally sold out and Leeb and Fulber decided to just do whatever people would give them the most money for.
