I gave away three desks this evening.
Under one of them was the box in which I used to keep the wine stash, before I moved to the steel shelves somewhat farther across the basement.
I went to pick up that box, and noticed it was somewhat heavier than it ought to have been. Lo and behold, two bottles of wine! One, a Jacob's Creek Shiraz (1998 Reserve, bought at Trader Joe's and somewhat unimpressive), I have opened to drink along with my dinner of glorified cheese and crackers. The other, some kind of chianti, I will save for later. I don't have high hopes, but one never knows.
Either way, hooray! Surprise booze!

Whoo, fingers working really well tonight, yeah. Posting typo-free requires much effort, but the "must not post typos!" part of my brain is deep, deep within the cortex and takes longer to become soaked with alcohol.

A good cheddar is pretty versatile at the best of times, too.
I have to admit, I grew up with Tillamook Cheddar, from the wilds of the Oregon coast, and it has become forever the epitome of cheddars for me. All other cheddars pale before the orangey goodness of Tillamook.
