I have adjusted various things and replaced the pickups on my Tele in order to create the ultimate twangy telecaster.
here are some pictures in case you missed them first time around (dunno if I had started reading your journal yet by then, so you certainly weren't reading mine. 8). That was from the day I replaced the standard 50's reissue pickups with Fender Noiseless Tele pickups...
I will be doing some other things... well, if it snows as much as they think it will, I'll be replacing the bridge tomorrow. No longer will I have the cute and authentic but not-very-adjustable 3-saddle bridge, but rather a six-saddle bridge (but the same style-- screws and bars rather than little blocks, if you know what I mean). It'll still have the cool ashtray design, but I'll be able to actually adjust the intonation for EVERY string. With 3 saddles, either every other string is way off, or all the strings are a little off... Neither of these are particularly good solutions.
I'll post pictures once that's done, anyway. I have to learn how to set the intonation myself and everything... Whee!
I'm all about the Travis picking. It was just about the first thing I learned to do when I got my guitar, which means I still don't think I can strum worth a darn.
