B00ze Review: Dry Creek Vineyard Sonoma County 2000 Clone Zinfandel

The first zinfandel I've tried. I'm not disappointed. It definitely wants a strong-flavored meal to stand up to it. We have another zinfandel hanging out in the basement waiting for another similar meal.

Not much finish to this one. It seems like it'd be nice to have a couple of others and then come back to it and compare, but I'm not sure if that'll happen. Ah well.

Recommended so far. Maybe it's lame, though. 8) I guess I'll figure it out after the next zin I try.

At 18 bucks a bottle, this is one to impress people with, anyway.

Rereading this, I sound somewhat underwhelmed. I'm not, really, I just don't have enough context to know for sure. I certainly like it, though. 8)

so... it's a copy of a reasonably competent zinfandel that's been modified to make it more obedient?

See if you can find Cline Zinfandel. That's good stuff, and only about $8 over here.
