The white on cream doesn't stand out at all. And if that's what you're looking for, it's a good look. I kind of like the way a pickguard stands out from the rest of the guitar. Why hide the fact you have one? So I find I really like the way the black stands out.

I'd have said "leave it alone" if you were considering repainting the guitar body or something, but swapping out the pickguard? Yeah, go with black. Teles look good with that saddle shoe style. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't want to repaint it. I like the transparent white finish...
