What: Interactive video/electronic music performance: "Frequency Response" When: Friday October 3rd 7:00PM Where: Riley Commons Who: Healthy Adam sponsored by SOAP and SCP Details: Frequency Response is WPI's first electronic music performance and easily WPI's first electronic-music-performance-that-allows-the-audience-to- participate-in-the-sounds-and-visuals-that-are-being-projected. All music has been originally composed by junior Adam Ribaudo and will be performed live. The event also features Adam's brother, Dan Ribaudo, who will use live video feeds and video mixing techniques to create a wholly unique and interactive visual experience for the audience. Dan has worked with live video projection and manipulation in clubs and raves throughout the Baltimore - D.C. area for the last 2 years. Come be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
Okay, who can find the factual errors in this posting?

Date: 2003-10-01 06:38 am (UTC)I think it's time for someone to rig up some serious jamming equipment and hijack the show to Cuba.
I'll take a stab...
Date: 2003-10-01 08:59 am (UTC)Aside from the aforementioned:
1.) ...WPI's first electronic-music-performance-that-allows-the-audience-to-participate-in-the-sounds-and-visuals-that-are-being-projected. Not true. On a wide variety of levels. MST3K has been around for awhile kids.
2.) "originally composed"? Or just a bunch of stuff remixed.
3.) "wholly original experience"? Sure.
4.) "once-in-a-lifetime-event"? yeah, cause I've never been clubbing and I'll never go again...oh wait, it might be once-in-a-lifetime because I'd never want to go to another event as lame as this one.
5.) Their mother dresses them funny.

Date: 2003-10-01 10:02 am (UTC)One-half of Colorbind (Jon Kervin) went to WPI. The other half (Jay) didn't.
(Amazingly, they still exist and play shows. I've always feared that one day Kervin would just call the whole thing off...)
