solipsistnationMy cousin's boyfriend Tim died last night. He had a massive staph infection and died in the hospital.
I didn't really know him, but I met him at Christmas last year, and he seemed like a nice guy. I'm sorry not to get to know him better, and for my cousin, who is devastated.

It was totally sudden and unexpected. He had the flu, and was kinda sick (just like everyone else I know in the past couple of weeks...), and then he was throwing up blood. He went to the hospital on Friday, and was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit. I was told that all they knew was that it was some kind of blood infection. Turns out it was a staph infection that had spread throughout his body, and since he'd just been getting over the flu, he had no resources left to fight it off.
