New low in personal hygeine
Aug. 11th, 2010 11:32 amSo Monday evening, the baby was kind of fussy. He was tired but didn't want to go to bed, and I kind of wanted to finish watching the last ten minutes of whatever I was watching, so I was poking him and keeping him entertained. He likes sitting on my head, so I decided to hold him up there and let him look around for a while. I knew I'd been tempting fate all along, and this time, for the first time, he decided that would be a good time to spit up. So there I was, on the couch, with a baby on my head and a nice glob of yogurty spit-up running down the side of my head.
I unmounted the baby from my head and wiped off the spit-up with a baby wipe and changed my shirt, and then, since it was late, I took the baby to bed and fell asleep myself.
I then didn't take a shower on Tuesday. In fact, my hair smelt slightly of sour milk until this morning, when I finally washed my hair. And we did go out on Tuesday, although only to the doctor and I didn't even get out of the car since the baby was asleep and it wasn't worth waking him up for just long enough to run around a little and get back into the car and go home.
Anyway, that was a long time to have baby barf in my hair. Being a parent is awesome.
