1. I now like non-canned non-black olives. Yep, green olives, kalamata olives, olives with pits in them, all sorts of olives. I don't know why I suddenly like them now when I didn't like them, say, two weeks ago. Go figure.

2. I have not shaved in over 10 days. I think I'm going to grow it out and see how I look with a beard. (The quick answer: Like my father.)

No! Where is that? We stayed at Camp Coldbrook, which was very interesting. It bordered on "white trash", was basically an RV park, but it wasn't really white trash, just a whole lot of blue collar folks having a good time on vacation. But, oh, the "tiki bar" by the pool, complete with Karaoke!

Olives discolor when canned unless they are treated with ferrous gluconate. These olives are usually also cured with lye, poorly seasoned, and nutritionally sparse.

In short, don't eat canned black olives. Eat salt dried and oil-packed dried olives (the wrinkly ones). They're just so tasty.

So now you want to go to a whole foods and look around for garlic-stuffed martini olives. Those things are amazingly yummy.
