time zones

The most annoying thing about the time zone deal is that once I get to the point where I think jumping on irc or aim and finding people to talk to would be a good idea, most of the people I know are already asleep. :P

I recall having the same problem. Eventually, you'll have friends on the left coast, but they'll suck and won't be online when you're there anyway. (Sorry, but it's the rules.)

When I lived on the East Coast, I think there was only about 3hrs a day when there wasn't someone I could call. If my friends in Maryland were asleep, my friends out here west were still up. Once they went to bed, it was only a few hours until my friend in the UK was awake and I could get a hold of him. Very helpful when life felt too heavy to bear alone. Took some adjusting when I moved back to CA that most people wouldn't like me to call at what was midnight for me.

You just need to make your east coast friends function on west coast time! For almost four years I've been on the east coast, functioning on a very west coast clock. I have to, or I'd never get to talk to one of my very good friends. So just go make everyone stay up crazy late and get up at their normal times! If I can do it, everyone can!
