Holy crap, that was a long drive-- today's epic haul took us from Dunkirk, NY to Des Moines, IA. I have been watching things heading directly toward me for so long that my brain is still trying to correct for it and my screen here is shifting as I watch it. It's pretty freaky. I think I need some sleep.

The pigs are being released to run around a bit before we crash. They're holding up pretty well, as we ply them with snack and try to keep them happy.

Tomorrow will take us to Cheyenne, WY, about two-thirds of today's drive. After that, Ely, NV. After that, San Jose.

Hard to believe this is only day 2. I think the fact that I've had about 6 hours of sleep in the past 2 days AND driven something like 1200 miles may have done something to my sense of time.

Tomorrow we leave early enough that the hot tub will still be open when we get to Cheyenne. Dammit, I haven't planted my ass in that car seat for all this time for no hot tub!

I see by the comments above that other people will be supportive. I will tell you that you're entirely CRAZY and should have taken another day to do it. Like I am going to do.

Damn man. When I drove to Iowa, took me two days with a stop over somewhere in Ohio. Same for the trip back. Course, I was doing it alone and Iowa was my destination (HY00GE MISTAKE!) so, there ya go.

Have fun on the journey. My ass can't take more than 2 hours in the car anymore these days.
