Unfortunately for everyone involved (that being me), this is a pretty accurate depiction of last night. Couldn't sleep, got up, read for an hour or so (Of Mice and Men, a relentlessly cheerful piece of nocturnal literature and really the best choice overall), noodled on my guitar, wandered around in the dark, and I think I eventually got to sleep about 4, only to take up at 5:30 or so into a half-awake nightmare of being a tangle of mismatched limbs and body parts in a pile in the dark. I think I was too hot.

Bleh. Early night tonight, I hope.

Bleh indeed. I hope you sleep better tonight.

I got up for a 6am-3pm shift today, so I sympathize.

Must be something going on. I went through that same thing Saturday.

Of Mice and Men? No wonder you woke up at 5:30...that's not exactly light reading. I've been having trouble sleeping but I assumed that's because my sinuses are in full revolt. The good thing is you eventually pass out from lack of oxygen.

Yea, the main thing that gives me poor sleep is temperature. I have a very specific able-to-sleep range, and when the seasons change it's hard to stay in it. Last night I woke up several times from being too hot or too cold and did a lot of blanket juggling.
