doctor who
Apr. 20th, 2005 09:07 pmOkay, just watched "Aliens of London."
Fart jokes, well... Kind of silly, but at least it has a purpose. Of course, their real faces look like the creepy Japanese baby mask creatures from Brazil... (That probably makes them creepier for me than it does for most viewers...)
The "Bad Wolf" thing is beginning to get a little weird. Read about it, then went looking. They're building up to something, and I hope they can pull it off. Every story so far has made reference to the Time War-- and I actually suspect that the Doctor's willingness to help the Gelph in "The Unquiet Dead" had more to do with his own remorse than it did actual naivety. I also suspect that his apparent... well, "hardness," for want of a better word... his apparant hardness has to do with what he's seen in the Time Wars. His willingness to let the stretched last human ever die seems out of character, unless he's been changed by what has happened since we last roamed the timelines...
Mm. Still very much enjoying the series. If it gets released on DVD in the US, I'll buy it. For sure, yes indeed. (Actually, I've come up with a region-free/region-settable DVD player, so I might buy if it it shows up on DVD in the UK, too, especially if it seems like it might not appear in region 1 format...)
