okay, here is a thing i hate: in like, craft supply stores, they always have things that are labelled as 'whimsical' that aren't. like, there will be a stand labelled 'WHIMSICAL CHRISTMAS TINS' and the tins will all be the same mass-produced metal tins with santa claus on them which i am afraid are not very whimsical at all.

and i don't understand WHY this word has gotten so popular for describing things that aren't whimsical (it is getting worse than the ironic problem) but it really tweaks my nose. :(

If the tin stamping robot at the Christmas factory chose the design on impulse then they would be whimsical, but I think we can all agree that that probably didn't happen.
