Thank goodness for young lady friends who, when long-term-loaned-no-really-it's-a-loan-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha an iPod, do not immediately wipe it clean and put all their own songs on it, cruelly deleting everything that was there before.

Hooray for not having to re-encode all the David Bowie and Brian Eno. That alone would be a day or so worth of CD-swapping. :P

Oh, plus the ipod IS an external firewire enclosure with a big drive. 8) I was in the process of restoring from it when I made a mistake. Bleh.

... it's a shame you nuked like, your a-f, and not your like, m - z. because while i have weeded some stuff out of a - f, my motivation was totally gone by the time i got to the middle of the m's. so even the sucky stuff in the second half of the alphabet is still there...
