Year of the Bastard is particularly poignant at the present moment.

Also particularly good for parallels to the current Presidential campaign is the re-election storyline that runs through Seasons Three and Four of "The West Wing", especially "Game On", the debate episode.

Funny you should say that, as Warren Ellis is good friends with Patrick Stewart and Mr. Stewart is trying to convince him to do a Transmet movie with Stewart as Spider. For which Steward has done such things as leap up on the table while doing his Spider Jerusalem - apparently he's good at it ;P.
