So sleepy.

Spent last week not particularly happy and having new medication issues. Spent Monday very very tense and nervous all day. Not pleasant at all. Sore jaw from tooth-grinding and jaw-clenching. Appeared to be a caffeine issue.

Drank green tea this morning. Pleasant and hasn't made me totally nervous. This may become my new morning habit. Pretty green tea flower, expands in the water, floating and lovely in a clear glass mug.

New laptop should be here today, far in advance of the predicted next-Monday arrival. That's nice, since I'm guessing I'll be home sick tomorrow. Today I'm kind of spacy and have the beginnings of what I'm guessing is a cold. Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] stophittinyrslf got us some non-chicken chicken soup stuff, so I can enjoy traditional cold remedies and not have to boil actual dead birds.

SPX is next week. Driving down Friday, hanging with interesting people, reading comics, volunteering to work on Saturday, reading comics, I'm guessing comics'n'wine Saturday night with [livejournal.com profile] oletheros and associates. I'm bringing down my Miracleman collection for their reading delectation, plus anything else that looks interesting.

This weekend, the crashing. Last weekend was the housecleaning, thanks once again to [livejournal.com profile] stophittinyrslf. She has a rugby game tomorrow. I will come and watch that, too, 'cause seeing girls beat each other up is fun.

For now, listening to music, waiting for FedEx, and feeling fairly pleasant, aside from the encroaching sniffles.

If you are drinking green tea then it may not be a caffeine issue, or not just a caffeine issue. There is caffeine in green tea; how much depends a lot on how you make it. There are other chemicals in tea that may offset any badness caused by the caffeine.

A simple way to remove much of the caffeine from tea (green, black, oolong) when using tea bags or a tea ball: dip the bag or ball in a cup of hot water for a few seconds, remove the bag or ball, dump the water, and steep the tea normally in a fresh cup of hot water. Commercially available decaffeinated teas are made this way. The leaves are briefly washed to disolve out the caffeine and then dried before packing.

The tea earlier this week was black tea.

Today I just didn't drink a liter of it.
