The revival of the Radio Shack TRS-80 model 1. Joy.

I'd rather have something I could expand, thankyouverymuch.

That's what this is for, assuming that a single SATA disk and the potential of 2GB of RAM or so isn't enough for you...

Anyway, with hard drives reaching 400GB these days, plus firewire being as fast as internal disk busses, plus pretty much all the various bits of hardware people tend to add being available in external firewire or USB versions, I don't think most people are going to worry about it too much. Heck, people live and work fulltime on laptops that are considerably less expandable than the G5 iMac... It's already got 802.11g, (optionally) bluetooth, ethernet, sound, and so on built in...

Non-upgradeable graphics are Right Out, for me. I also like the idea of having multiple drives so I can RAID, whether in hardware or software. That, and I want a tape drive for backups. Can't see doing any of that with the new iMac.

It may be a useful box for some. To me it looks like a toy...

Ah. Yeah, non-upgradeable graphics is my own biggest dislike, but then again, I've been using a laptop for two years now, and am planning on getting another real soon, so I guess it doesn't bother me that much...
