Hint: 55GFlops is a LOT.
I have tried it with a 2.6 kernel, but it seems to work less well than the 2.4 kernel. There's a bit of a performance drop, which I found sort of disappointing. Some of it is that some of SGI's software doesn't appear to have been ported to the 2.6 kernel and doesn't work with it.
Anyway, there you go. uname -a output and a useful (if highly optimized) benchmark.
