Slept... well, okay.

I GOT to sleep nicely. Perhaps a little more rapidly than I wanted, even.

I woke up at 4:30, though.

Then I got back to sleep for a few minutes and woke up again. And again. And again. Until 6:30 or 7. Finally I just got up and bathed and went to retrieve my car.

I'm reasonably rested, anyway. I certainly don't feel as rough as I did yesterday.

A particular sort of insomnia, you mean?

Or stress?

Or a lot of hair?

I'm still thinking Benadryl next time. It'll help your allergies and has been clinically proven to be the knocks-you-on-your-ass medicine. :)

Always ~4:30 regardless of bedtime - huh. Suckage.

I assume that if there were something obvious happening at that time (a garbage truck driving by or somesuch) you would have noticed it. It seems not unlikely that you've racked your brain for something non-obvious, too, but if not, I'll mention it - over the years, for instance, I've become habituated enough to my current alarm clock that a particular sort of *very* quiet 'click' will tend to wake me up from any sort of medium-to-light sleep.

Have you tried sleeping somewhere other than your usual bedroom? (Hotel or someplace else comfy, not "on the floor in the kitchen" or anything, ;-)
