Before and After Science
Feb. 12th, 2004 09:37 pmI talked some kid at Newbury Comics into buying Before and After Science the other day.
I was poking through the used record section, and there was some emo-lookin' kid eyeing a used copy of it. He was looking at the back and frowning, and appeared to be debating.
"Hey," I said, "that's a really great album."
"Oh yeah?" he said. "I've seen it used, but I don't know. I like some of his stuff, but I don't know about his ealier albums."
"That's one of his best. You should really own it, it's so good."
"Yeah? Is it, like, his ambient stuff?"
"See, the first half is weird pop, and the second half is all pretty ambient stuff."
"Cool. Guess I'll buy it."
Yay.
