Okay, finished mowing lawn and nuked other bee nest along the way. Maybe now people will stop asking if the house is for sale.

Removed annoyingly-placed tree that was destined to cause problems later. Who plants a pine tree within six inches of a porch, anyway? When we moved in, it was growing in sort of an S shape with a bunch of string tied around it in an attempt to keep it from just falling over. Of course, it had grown partially around this string, and when it snowed last winter, the string broke, so the tree was blocking the walkway to the front door. So, today included a bit of digging and sawing. The roots are still there, but I'll worry about them later.

Didn't get bitten by anything too nasty, I don't think.

Now I am achey.

Tomorrow the dreaded Shuttle SN45G arrives.

I will begin my evening by removing the outer case and, if I can, the front panel of the case (and removing the plastic bits from the front). I will then sand it thoroughly. I will continue by dousing it in a solution of water and phosphoric acid. After half an hour, I will rinse it off using quite a lot of water. If there are any white flecks left, I will sand again and reapply the phosphoric acid solution, and then rinse again.

When the case is dry, I will spray it with white primer.

When that is dry, I will sand it with wet 600 grit sandpaper.
