My forearms ache. So does my right calf. I have a fascinating new blister at the base of the little finger of my right hand, and another forming at the same place on my left. I can now, however, play a basic backbeat and the occasional fill and have a blast doing it (on "Medium," even, getting four stars all the way). It's a great stress reliever, too-- now I know why most drummers I've met seemed so laid-back. (Howdy, dariusk.) Fun.

Apparently the Rock Band drum kit is pretty loud, though, as I was informed upon stophittinyrslf's premature return home (thanks to a cancelled class). Plus I don't get to play drums when she's home. I told her to just not get too close when I have headphones on and don't know she's there, but, well, you know.

Yay, fun.

Weirdly this doesn't even seem to have a UK release date yet :(

I'm well up for it though. How do you plug all 4 instruments into the machine? Are they wireless, or USB? If the latter, presumably any USB mic would work?

They're USB, there's a little hub that comes with it. The mic is a little tricky as no one tells you you need a normal xbox controller handy to activate it. By brother in law was rather disappointed until I worked it out for him.

Exactly! They plugged it in and nothing happened. I think they were having problems with using the headset mic too, not sure if they gave up on that. Corey and his friends did spent most of the thanksgiving weekend playing it. Early Chanukah present you see.
