I can also track the cargo containers with our stuff in them. They're in Ohio now, and will be leaving Monday morning to head West. Everything to do with UPack has happened late. The ReloCubes showed up almost 5 hours after they should have (well after 4 instead of around 11), wasting one of the two days we had allocated for packing before leaving. That was a large part of why we ended up leaving late. Sometime around 11 on the day we were leaving, I called for a pickup, and they said they'd be out-- it was actually sort of useful that they were late, because we kept finding things and tossing them in, but I would rather have just given more to Goodwill and left. And when we did leave (at 7ish at night), the cubes were still there. I called the next day (from a rest stop in Ohio, I think) to make sure they'd picked them up, and they hadn't. I checked the tracking info today, and they're finally moving-- the cubes are in Ohio and will be moving onward on Monday. That's okay-- we'll beat them to California by a couple of days, which works out okay for the debit-card billing.

Tomorrow: Cheyenne, WY to Ely, NV where we will stay before embarking on our US50 adventure and heading to our ultimate destination, San Jose.

If you have a chance when going across the salt flats on 80, pick up one cup of briny water for me. I was trying an evaporation experiment when I last went through there, but it was thrown out by someone who wasn't paying attention and didn't htink to ask (D'oh!)

There is also a cool scuplture along 80 in the Salt Flats Area :)

US 50 is a fun drive. You can see forever and ever and ever. You go over a "mountain" and from the top you can see the road and it goes in a straight line until the next mountain. Very cool.

That's the one! I always wanted to get my dad to stop for a closer look, but I noticed there isn't actually a proper pullout.

Yup, totally hanging out in San Jose. Today we walked down to a mall on Saratoga and got books and sushi, and then came back and BAM, I fell asleep for something like 3 or 4 hours. Please assume that I've lost your number, though, and email me... Sometime in the next couple of days perhaps. 8)
