I hate to say it, but I find these very appealing.

Embarassingly cyberpunk, though, I have to admit. But still, there they are.

I don't know what I'd do without my head grooves, though...

I hope they don’t get caught on anything... I suppose that could tear them out rather unpleasantly.

Uh, yeah, no kidding. Having had my glasses snagged violently from my head several times in my life, may I just say that I will not be signing up for the drill-through-your-nasal-bridge variety anytime soon.

Congratulations, you've found something even more disturbing to do with your glasses besides create the head grooves with them. :P

Suggestion I had from winter was rare earth magnets holding the lenses onto the barbell, no damage if they get pulled off.

I'd be concerned to have rare earth magnets that close to my eyeballs. It would attract a lot of particulate matter, I'd think. At , we used to have a lot of problems with that before we cleaned up the manufacturing line.

Well, see, I have kind of a large head and I like smallish glasses. Unfortunately, my head appears to have grown lately (it's 'cause I'm SO DAMN COOL), while my glasses have not. Thus, when I remove my glasses, there are visible grooves across my temples, heading back toward the tops of my ears.

Most people don't notice them...

exactly. Firstly, one doesn't spend 5-10 minutes on contact lenses. You reach in, grab, and go. It's maybe 5-10 seconds, though even that seems long.

And really, what would be useful would be a piercing that looks like something OTHER than an eyeglasses holder with an easy attach mechanism, so that you could easily pop in and out, say, sunglasses or reading glasses. I see this as better for people who take off their glasses all the time -- as someone who can't see without her glasses, I never really had a problem with dropping or losing them.

Also, how does he stand to shower with them on? I've accidentally showered with my glasses, and it's annoying, drops of water obscuring my vision. I use my contacts for showering.

Yeah, in a similar vein, I found myself wondering how he could stand to go for as long as he said he'd worn them without -cleaning- them. I mean, it's not like you can wipe off the inside surfaces with the things in the "on" position.

I guess he would flip them up to clean them but I think he would need someone else to breathe on them.
